How to make a decision

The Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen said this about his craft:

“Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context—a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan.”

Its next larger context.”

I’ve written before about the importance of second-order thinking within the realm of money. It’s hard. But by making decisions using the framework above–by considering the next larger context–we’ll get better.
