A building designed to hold offices or apartments or stores, but which is not currently hosting those occupants, is AVAILABLE.
When you’re available–I mean in your life and with the time and talent you possess–do you walk around with an implied sign on your forehead that says as much?
In reality this plays itself out in a number of ways, but I think the most pervasive one is the rarity with which we say “No.” And when we say “Yes” all the time, we might as well put a tacky, all-caps sign on our forehead inviting the first project or task or time-wasting internet application to fill the space. These occupants are by their very nature transient, and rarely worth the time and talent we waste on them.
You are not empty space. You are a human being. Don’t advertise. Inquire
