Eames Eiffel chairs for your dollhouse

In today’s edition of crazy things you can buy with your money, here’s an article from the Wall Street Journal about how people (and by people, I mean adults) are renovating their dollhouses to reflect modern architectural tastes.

And of course, you can now buy a tiny Eames Eiffel chair for your dollhouse for $250, or even a four-inch Wolf stove for $650. You could, alternatively, buy this actual working stove made by Samsung for the same price, but of course, it would be too big for your doll, whether real or imaginary.

But, I want to be careful here, because it’s dangerous to be all judgey about what other people choose to buy with their money. I mean, I buy books and shoes, and I don’t need them, so who am I to make fun of people for their renovated dollhouses? I have a wall in my living room with framed original art that certainly wasn’t cheap, so who am I to begrudge someone their tiny Eames Eiffel chair?

So I guess I will just leave us with this: be careful about buying things that could be considered frivolous. Maybe they aren’t, but then again, maybe they are.
