You know what’s trash? Pretty much every piece of Apple software is trash. The Music app is unusable, and has been for some time. The new Mail app appears to be the result of trying to build the worst email app possible. And they apparently haven’t thought it necessary to make any substantive upgrades to their word-processing, spreadsheet, or presentation software since roughly 2007. They are making great hardware, more or less, but have seemingly abandoned making halfway decent software altogether.
I don’t know why any of this is the case.
You and I sometimes abandon doing the things that we are good at, BEST at. Maybe we get bored, or maybe it’s not fun anymore, or maybe we don’t have time, or maybe there’s peer pressure to not do that thing.
But this ought not be. If you are good at something (and you are), and that something is capable of bringing joy to you and others, then we need to make a way for you to continue that thing in some capacity or another. It’s a group effort, because we all need you to be doing the things you’re good at.
