Oreo madness

Oreo eaters are making a big fuss about the possibly shrinking–or at least highly variable–amount of creme between the chocolate cookies, and I have to say, I agree with them. Not only are they right in their diagnosis, but they’re also right to make a fuss about it.

Small rituals are important. The morning breakfast routine, the walk to and from school, the breakfasts at Waffle House, the music you listen to when you decorate the Christmas tree. Most of the time they are free or at least quite inexpensive (like an Oreo), but the quality of the ritual itself is nonetheless valuable.

Don’t skimp on the small stuff just because it is small, since small things done well over time are mostly all that matters anyway.
