Ordering the steps

Always work from the simple to the complex.

And the funny thing is, the better you get at the simple, the more you realize you may not need complex at all, or at the very least your idea of necessary complexity has moved down the scale significantly.

Most of the gains to be made in your financial situation will be derived from 1) Beginning the simple work, 2) Doing it over and over again so that it becomes a habit, and 3) Assessing whether you should do more of that simple work, or perhaps tweak it slightly up the complexity scale, and then start over at 1).

The hard part of this is not getting the steps on paper. It’s getting them into your life while people around you are chasing complex things like a game of Whac-a-mole.

Don’t chase!
